From classic breakfasts to satisfying burgers and homemade baked goods, everything’s made with care—and often with a little background music courtesy of our singing chef, Kim.

Meet Chef Kim

Chef Kim brings nearly two decades of culinary experience, a Red Seal certification, and a whole lot of heart to the kitchen at Takysie Lake Resort.

A graduate of Camosun College’s Culinary Arts Program (Class of 2024), Kim has worked in everything from diners and pubs to fine dining, including at the renown Oak Bay Beach Hotel in Victoria, BC.

This season, Kim is keeping the previous owner's existing menu in place while settling in—but she’s already looking ahead to future seasons where she can bring her own spin on classic comfort food.

Kim puts care and creativity into everything she does. She loves scratch cooking, is passionate about using local ingredients whenever possible, and if you hear someone singing while your meal is being made, don’t be surprised—that’s just Kim bringing a little kitchen karaoke into the mix!
